Steven Morgan joined NOCCO soon after its inauguration. He is also a member of three other regional orchestras and regularly performs with nearly every professional ensemble in the Puget Sound. Recent solo appearances include performances of Mozart’s Bassoon Concerto with the Everett Philharmonic Orchestra and a concerto by Vivaldi with NOCCO. Steven earned his bachelor’s degree in music performance from the University of Redlands and a master’s degree from UCLA. During his student years he also studied at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria, and competed with UCLA’s Gluck Woodwind Quintet. In addition to performing Steven enjoys coaching bassoons in the Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra and teaching out of his private studio in Meadowdale.
